Associate Pastor

David grew up in a preacher's home and he promised that he would never become a minister, but he found that God has a sense of humor and sometimes works in ways we would never expect.

He grew up in Louisiana and received his BS in Industrial Technology from Southern Louisiana University in 1985. Then in 1987 he received an MRS from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Before coming to Harris in 1996, David served as Minister of Youth and Education at Sherwood Forest Baptist in Rome, GA, for 8 years.

David enjoys helping people grow as disciples and find their place in serving God.

He is married to Missy Clegg; they have three grown children and two grandchildren.
